sPHENIX is a state of the art jet detector for heavy ion physics currently under construction at RHIC. In combination with future studies at LHC, sPHENIX aims to understand the microscopic structure of the strongly coupled Quark-Gluon Plasma discovered at RHIC. I will describe the sPHENIX science goals, capabilities and construction status.。
